The Events

Semi Supported Format for 8hr and 12hr Courses.

The start for each race is different to the finish area. Teams will require to be dropped off by either their support crew or have 2 cars so that they can retrieve their start line vehicle.

Teams will not require support once they have started the race. However, there may be a bike drop prior to race start.

4 HOUR

Teams can expect to use basic navigation to keep themselves moving over the course on foot and by mountain bike for 3.5 - 7 hours. This year there is a high chance that the mystery stage will have a water component. No pack raft or kayak required.

8 HOUR

Teams require intermediate level navigation and reasonable fitness to keep moving on foot and mountain bike for 7-11 hours. There may also be water element for 8 hr competitors. No pack raft or kayak required.

12 HOUR

Teams can expect to use more advanced navigation to move through the course via pack raft, mountain bike and on foot for 10-15hours. Expect steep sections where route choices are important, bike sections where its not possible to ride.
