The Events
UNSUPPORTED FORMAT FOR ALL COURSES
This means teams will not require a support throughout the race but there may be a bike drop prior to the race start.
The start lines are not the same location as the finish area. Teams will require to be dropped off by crew or have 2 cars so Team can retrieve their start line vehicle
4 HOUR
Teams can expect to use basic navigation to keep themselves moving over the course on foot and by mountain bike for 3.5- 7 hours. This year there is a high chance that the mystery stage will have some water component. TBC
8 HOUR
Teams require intermediate level navigation and reasonable fitness to keep moving on foot and mountain bike for 7-11 hours. There may also be water element for 8 hr competitors.
12 HOUR
Teams can expect to use more advanced navigation to move through the course via pack raft, mountain bike and on foot for 10-15hours. Expect steep sections where route choices are important, bike sections where its not possible to ride.
