• Beanie (polypro or merino )

• Gloves (polypro or merino)

• Whistle

• Survival Blanket

• Sturdy footwear

• Headtorch with sufficient batteries

• Water and Food

TEAM

ALL STAGES

• Course Maps (provided)

• Cellphone (fully charged for emergency use only)

• Pen/pencil

• PLB or a phone set up with ONE NZ Satellite Texting

• Compass

• First Aid Kit - minimum: wound dressing,

• compression bandage,

• strapping tape, knife, antihistamine,

• pain relief, personal medication

MOUNTAIN BIKE STAGE

• Mountain Bike (must be in sound mechanical condition)

• Bike Helmet

• Bike Lights - Front (headtorch ok) and Rear (red)

• Bike repair tools including puncture repair.

PACKRAFTING STAGE

• Riverworthy Packraft. Double or Single. No kayaks or Canoes.

• PFD with knife and whistle attached per peson

• Kayak Helmet pe person. No bike helmets.

• Paddle per person

• Wetsuit per person

• Drybags for mandatory gear

• Throw Bags - 1 per pack raft

• Carabiners to attach drybags and throw ropes.

• Raft repair kit - 1 per team
